Although many talk about Chinese, English still leads the ranking. Speaking languages adds points to your CV and prospects to your business.

There are over 7,000 languages in the world, but for business and employment, one must consider which ones are the most spoken. This not only helps improve the resume but also expands sales prospects or reaching potential customers.
Many believe that Chinese has taken the lead, but the most spoken language on the planet remains English. It is the official language of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland, and South Africa. It is also spoken in India and the Philippines. In total, 1.452 billion people handle business and education in this language.
The second is Mandarin: China has an enormous number of dialects, and the one used for business is this. A total of 1.118 billion people handle Mandarin.
The third is Hindi: it is the official language of India and Nepal, which together have 609.5 million speakers.
Spanish emerges in fourth place: it is spoken in Spain and throughout Latin America, with a total of 548 million speakers. A point in its favor is that it is the second most spoken language in the USA and the third most used on the Internet.
And in fifth place appears French. France had colonies all over the planet, and today 29 countries speak its language. They total 280 million people. They are followed by Arabic, Bengali, Portuguese, Russian, and Urdu.
